This site is not a definitive guide to web design nor does it want to be. There are lots of sites out there with excellent tutorials already (I’ll be linking to them when relevant!). This site is geared towards the newcomers to web design and aims to provide a simple explanation to the most commonly asked questions.

All of the examples are ones that I have used in my own projects and are taken directly from the many code snippets that I have lying around in my ’special’ folder on my computer, hence the site’s name.

I shall try to cover as much ground as possible and will cover topics such as (X)html, CSS, Javascript, PHP and SQL(MySQL). If there’s a particular question that you can’t find the solution to, feel free to contact me and I’ll try to include it in the site.
